Late last fall, Christopher came to us and wanted to take a break from Jiu Jitsu for a while and try something different. His original request was sword fighting but well, that isn't a skill you can just take a class in anywhere so after doing some research I found out that Amarillo College had a fencing program. From there, Christopher's new hobby was born!!
He really likes it, in fact he is currently taking a second semester of classes this summer. He knows all the terms and moves. He takes it very seriously and is even talking of competing when he gets a little older.
At the end of the spring semester they had a tournament. It was so awesome to watch. James or Papa John usually take him but I was able to go for tournament night and it was a treat!
At the end of the night, Christopher placed 2nd!!! After only one semester he placed 2nd. We are so proud of him!
