We celebrated Christopher becoming a teenager in a big way!! James took an idea from our pastor which was whenever his sons turn 13 he takes them on a man trip. That plan was put into motion a year or so ago but we had not taken a vacation this year as the 6 of us when it came close to Christopher's birthday. So the 6 of us headed out on Thursday morning the 17th of August after stopping for breakfast at Dunkin Donuts. We were headed to the big D, Dallas.
We did a little shopping at the outlet mall.
but that days big event was Medieval Times!!! We had so much fun.
The next morning was the 18th, Christopher's 13th birthday!
We spent the first half of the day at Ripley's believe it or not, the wax museum and all of the cool things there.
We drove into Grapevine and met my mom, aunt Karen, Uncle Petey and cousin Rhonda at Rainforest Cafe for lunch.
There was some birthday celebrating and embarrassing....
from there we split up, I stayed with my family and we did some shopping at Grapevine Mills and then the 3 kids and I drove home to Amarillo.
James and Christopher started their portion of the man trip!
Friday night was a Texas Rangers game.
They had a boomstick!
They spent the day Saturday at Six Flags!
and Saturday night at a Cowboys game!!!!
Sunday morning they drove home but not before Chris had some pancakes from Ihop.
We hope Christopher had a memorable 13th birthday! We sure love our brilliant guy!
